Egypt’s vision has a significant strategy in the area of communication and information technology. This strategy aims to establish “Digital Egypt” through digital economy, digital finance, and digital services to achieve knowledge-based development of community. To implement this strategy, communication and IT infrastructure is improved, financial and digital inclusion is enhanced, cybersecurity is ensured, and digital skills and jobs are developed.

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, affirmed that the university fully supports the strategic digital transformation plan of the state in the context of sustainable development plan 2030. He pointed out that University Council approved many mechanisms in its session of January 2021. These mechanisms enhance the system of digital transformation and financial inclusion at Tanta University.

Vision of the center:
The Main Center for Digital Transformation and Financial Inclusion aims to be an outstanding and innovative center at the local, regional and international levels.

Mission of the center:
The center aims to be a scientific and technical house of expertise to disseminate the concept of digital transformation and financial inclusion, and to enhance education and scientific research so that smart cadres can be graduated in the light of international criteria. In addition, it presents administrative services and social consultations based on digital technology to make Tanta University a pioneer in this field.

Strategic objectives of the center::
1. To prepare Tanta University for digital transformation through the following factors: technological infrastructure, qualified cadres, digital management, digital culture, data security and privacy, as well as suitable electronic and virtual work conditions that allow all academic staff to interact with all related institutions.
2. To analyze the digital gap between the technological knowledge and tools available at the university and the ability to access information resources on one hand, and the needed tools, abilities, and resources on the other.
3. To analyze the digital structure at Tanta University and to create a strategic vision for digital transformation.
4. To offer appropriate support for implementation, monitoring, and following up the digital transformation at Tanta University.
5. To enhance all centers and units at the university so that they can apply the systems of digital transformation and financial inclusion.
6. To coordinate with all competent centers and units to provide technological structure that helps to apply the systems of digital transformation and financial inclusion.
7. To apply the systems of digital transformation and financial inclusion through offering more people access to online payment.
8. To follow up and assess the executive plans and programs to assure quality, continuous improvement, and efficient services at the centers.
